In the SuperSpeed App, we track your speeds with our speed sticks relative to how fast you are swinging your driver (while hitting a ball)
In the SuperSpeed App, we track your speeds with our speed sticks relative to how fast you are swinging your driver (while hitting a ball). This provides some great indications of what areas we may need to look at for additional training to optimize your speed training. For example If you are swinging our green speed stick significantly faster than your driver speed (which is what we want) but you are swinging our red speed stick at the same speed as your driver, that could be an indication of a grip strength deficiency or just an overall physical strength deficiency. That would be a great sign to dive into grip strength training with the Squeeze or the strength programs Jason Glass built in the SuperSpeed App. How fast should you be swinging each speed stick? The benchmarks we like to see players around for each speed stick are 🟢 15% faster than your driver 🔵 10% faster than your driver 🔴 5% faster than your driver So if your driver speed is 100mph, we would expect your green club stick to be 115mph, blue stick to be 110mph, and red stick to be 105mph.

If we could give a golfer only one drill, it would be this ⬇️ The Step-Change of Direction We were recently talking through how to do the step drill more effectively with LPGA coach Nicole Damarjian, Director of Instruction at Blackledge Country Club, who recently said - "The video demonstrating the step drill clarified something for me that has been transformative for both my game and my players. I always demonstrated “stepping forward” but never really explained the “sink” into the step to maximize vertical force. I had a 9 handicap on my lesson tee last week who gained 15-20 yards on the launch monitor with his 8 iron after doing the step drill." Our step change of direction drill that is in many of our protocols here at SuperSpeed Golf, is one of the best drills that any player can do for their golf game.  On the surface, this drill helps greatly with sequencing and the timing of pressure shift to the lead side.  In a deeper look, however, it also helps the player learn to coordinate the timing of the entire sequence of the swing, increase both trail side lateral force, lead side vertical force, and lead side lateral force. All of these are great indicators of more power in the swing.

Non-Dominant vs
Non-Dominant vs. Dominant Swing Tracking in the SuperSpeed App We track how fast you are able to swing your speed sticks on the non-dominant side vs. your dominant side. We have found that most of our high level players tend to be within about 1 MPH of the same speed on the non-dominant and dominant side after the first training cycle. There are many advantages to non-dominant training including increased muscle activation, reduced injury risk, and improved sequencing on the dominant side. You will also earn achievements in our SuperSpeed App when you get your non-dominant side swings within certain percentages of the dominant side! Ground reaction forces = how you push into the ground during the golf swing After several years of studying how golfers use the ground in their swing, we developed the Force Board Pro for 3 reasons: 1) A lot of amateur golfers do not generate ground force efficiently from the right points at the right times during the golf swing. Among other things, this is causing lots of golfers to lose speed and power.  2) A lot of amateur golfers do not have enough stability & balance to translate the ground forces they are generating efficiently into club head speed. 3) The golfers that fall into reasons 1 & 2 do not have the ability to put together a training plan to address these two things on their own The Force Board Pro allows golfers to train balance, stability, proprioception and other key capabilities to create powerful, repeatable golf swings all on one adaptive training platform. We built 8 different protocols in the SuperSpeed App to guide users through improving balance and stability and optimizing ground reaction forces.

Speed is so important in golf, especially if you are trying to be competitive
Speed is so important in golf, especially if you are trying to be competitive.   With a stock driver swing speed between 89mph and 91mph (LPGA average is 96mph) professional golfer Anna Hedlund had been experiencing firsthand how hard it is to compete if you're behind the field in speed. With a goal of gaining as much swing speed as possible this offseason, Anna visited Dr. Tyler Standifird in his lab at UVU for a full swing analysis to create a speed training plan tailored to her game. Over the two-day visit working through several different SuperSpeed ground reaction force protocols, Anna saw a 6mph increase in club head speed, 9.8 mph increase in ball speed, and 22.4 in total yards. “Visiting Tyler in Utah was the best golf experience I have ever had. I wish I would have done this 10 years ago." - Anna Update: Anna’s continued work on swing speed has consistently up to 100+ mph with driver now Hit the link in our bio ☝️ to read the full write-up on Anna's visit to Dr. Standifird's lab and her training program

Putting the new @superspeedgolf Force Board Pro to work to train a better rotational weight shift toward the target
Putting the new @superspeedgolf Force Board Pro to work to train a better rotational weight shift toward the target! I’m a big fan of feedback in training, and this board delivers exactly that. To rotate the hips efficiently, it’s key to understand how and where to apply force into the ground with both feet. Get that right, and a powerful, effortless rotation becomes much easier. Check out this video to see how I use ground force to drive more rotation and power into the swing! #golf #golfcoach #superspeed #forceboard #golflife #whyilovethisgame #benemersongolf #golfaddict

Narrow Stance Swing Drill ⬇️

In our C club protocols we include Narrow Stance Swings
Narrow Stance Swing Drill ⬇️ In our C club protocols we include Narrow Stance Swings. These take away the stability of the lower body you are used to using with regular swings.  This will force you to get more speed out of the arms and hands as well as improve lag. This drill is in level 1 of our SuperSpeed C Club training program in the SuperSpeed App. The C Club is counterweighted to reduce the resistance of the club head releasing around impact, which helps train maximum arm/hand and release speed in the golf swing. You can use the SuperSpeed C Training System on its own or in conjunction with the SuperSpeed Golf OverSpeed Training System to unleash your speed.
