This illustration is from one of the pages of my new book! The Unexpected life of Mr Skelly! The words are their own thing, (separate to the book!) but a s I’ve been flat out with finishing the layouts of the book, other branding projects and some future collaborations I haven’t had the time to crush out new animations! So I used the key framing method along with a little bit of parallax movement to create this 120 FPS 4k animation haha which is 10x our normal frame rate. I prefer doing it slower really, but this was an interesting attempt given this is a landscape format background. I designed this in procreate, animated in Dreams on the iPad Pro using only built in brushes. — The quote itself is one of pretty special significance in my own life, some might laugh and say “YEAH IT WONT HURT WHEN IM DEAD!” And there’s always that perspective haha but it certainly helps to know that time as a distance is quite a powerful tool.
