I have to tell you all something. Since the creation of Mr Skelly, one of the biggest blessings in my life has been one of the hardest: the impact on so many of you. I have received hundreds of messages of grief and loss. Friends who lost friends, mothers who lost sons to suicide, brothers who lost sisters to cancer, children who lost parents to time, parents who lost children to accidents, and in amongst that deep and traumatising grief people have sprung up like flowers of hope and told me their stories. The power of the human spirit never ceases to amaze me. So! Why this message? Stop looking for reasons to quit. YOU ARE NEEDED IN THIS LIFE. Life is HARD ENOUGH ON ITS OWN! You don’t need to help it along the way in beating ya down! It’s so easy to get caught up in the fray and forget how important you are. “Christian, I’m not important” I used to think like that, and I’ll admit it first I still have my days. I’ve battled addiction, self hatred, suicide ideation, and all sorts of problems and all of these things haunt me. If you ever feel like giving in, imagine what giving your all feels like! Take the risks! Push yourself, if you’ve got nothing to lose you’ve got EVERYTHING to gain! You are worthwhile and valuable and your impact on this world, however big or small will echo forever and you can choose how you’re a part of the lives ahead! I love y’all, truly from the depths of my heart. I’m not a perfect person, I’m a broken man redeemed and I feel undeserving of every good thing in my life. But we have worth, we have something important to say, to give, and being here for one another is one of of the greatest acts of kindness, the greatest acts of rebellion we can ever partake in.
