I’ll be honest—I’m team open shelves. But here's the thing: if you're on the fence, why not do both? I won’t pretend I’m the cleanest person in the world (major con if you don’t want to spend an afternoon wiping down all your glassware), but open shelves bring a lot to the table. They create balance, offset the heaviness of base cabinets, and give you the chance to actually see and enjoy your favorite pieces. Plus, they make grabbing everyday items way easier.
