Do you believe in love at first sight? Well, I most definitely do. I remember the first time I laid eyes on this old theater marquee sign. We were at the estate sale of our now-good friend Jim, who had saved the sign himself. He told us how he had the exact same reaction to it over 20 years ago when he rescued it from the now-demolished Grand Rivier area — that immediate feeling of “Oh wow, this is something special.” I always tend to gravitate toward things with intense patina, and this sign definitely intrigued me. But what really caught my eye was the faded green dot painted in the center. As I mentioned in the video, this piece of art hasn't been verified as the work of the legendary artist Tyree Guyton — but I really hope it is. And even if it’s not, I’ll love it just the same. @tyreeguyton #mysteryonmack #warehouseconverstion #uncommonart #patina #metalsignart #woodwardthrowbacks
