Do you know how to check your skin for signs of cancer? Jennifer talks to Dr Justine Jordan, a GP and member of The Skin Nerd Health & Wellness Panel about the signs of skin cancer that you should be aware of. Dr Justine explains that along with melanomas and itchy patches of skin, we need to look out for crusty skin around the ears which doesn’t go away. This could be innocent or potentially squamous cell carcinomas. Pearly pink marks with scales around them on sun exposed areas of the face could signal a basal cell carcinoma. Dr Justine’s key takeaway? If you notice something crusty that won’t go away, go and get it checked out by your GP. For more information on our Health & Wellness Panel, visit: theskinnerd.com.
