'Motherhood completely changed my relationship with my body and with rest. I don’t have the same luxury of time, but my cycles are more regular than ever, so I can plan ahead more easily. I try to keep things low-key when I need to, even if that just means waiting until my son is asleep to take a bath. One of my mantras has become “something is better than nothing” when it comes to self-care. If I can’t do what I really want in the moment, I’ll book something in advance to make sure I take that time for myself soon.
