Even though it’s on its way out, your plant is sucking all the nutrients from it before eventually letting it go. This is why I rarely remove yellow leaves! Instead, I give them a tiny tug. If the leaf comes off easily, the plant was finished with it. If not, it stays! Okay, now be honest...do you remove yellow leaves before they’re crispy?
