Yikes!! You just checked the roots on your favorite plant and it looks like a giant bowl of cooked spaghetti... No worries, here’s what you’re going to do! 1. Unpot your plant (if there are roots through the drainage hole, carefully weave them back through). 2. Grab a new planter that is two inches wider in diameter. 3. Use the plant to measure how much soil you need to add to the bottom of the planter. 4. Fill the bottom, place the plant in, and keep adding potting mix till the plant is secure. 5. Add all our @happyhappyhousplant products to your watering can to help your plant thrive in its new home. Hope that helps If you have any questions about root bound plants or repotting, ask away!

Think about it like your skincare routine! Your sunscreen, vitamin C serum, and moisturizer all have different jobs, but you can still use them together. Every Monstera needs their emotional support pipe…or moss pole or cedar plank…you get the picture! If you want your Monstera Deliciosa to grow big leaves with lots of variegation (who doesn’t) you need to give it something to climb. One of the vines on this plant needed some extra support so I used its aerial roots to fasten it to the pipe on the wall. Hope this helps! If you have other Monstera questions let me know!

No debate, there’s only one way to finish a Capri Sun! And that’s sucking every last drop until the pouch crinkles up. Now, imagine a yellow leaf is like a Capri Sun to your plant. Even though it’s on its way out, your plant is sucking all the nutrients from it before eventually letting it go. This is why I rarely remove yellow leaves! Instead, I give them a tiny tug. If the leaf comes off easily, the plant was finished with it. If not, it stays! Okay, now be honest...do you remove yellow leaves before they’re crispy?
