They were looking for people launching crowdfunding projects. We had a sketch for a travel bag. So we said yes. They flew us to China to make our one sample. They paid for our video shoot. While building our Kickstarter page, I saw a tweet from a writer (hi @lizsegran) looking for new travel products. We sent her that one bag. It ended up in Fast Company. That led to a call from Indiegogo. Which led to a $2M crowdfunding raise… and over 10,000 Bento Bags preordered. Last week, we launched a new Bento Bag color. It sold out in 48 hours.
