Silly me, I almost forgot this was the whole point. Before the reels, before all the algorithms, before the politics…
it was just me, a camera, and a little hope that sharing our farm and how we raise our cattle might inspire someone to purchase beef from our farm. So here’s a couple moments from this past month.

For most of us, rain is an inconvenience, but for farmers & ranchers, rain is essential for our operations. Rain is needed to produce forage for livestock and periods of drought can be devastating for many operations. So next time you complain about the rain, just remember how important it is in bringing food to your family’s table.

Every day, America loses 2,000 acres of farmland — and here in Georgia, we see it happening all around us. In 2019, we almost lost our own third-generation farm. 
In order to stabilize our farm’s finance we start selling & shipping our beef directly to families. Most farms don’t need hundreds of customers to survive — they just need a few people who believe in supporting direct and local food systems. 
It only takes one purchase a year, not ten not twenty just one, to help save a family farm like ours.

For every 1 pound of filet a cow produces, it also produces about 30–35 pounds of ground beef!

Is it really progress if we’re building warehouses and data centers over fertile ground while small farms disappear? If we’re importing more beef than ever but telling American ranchers we aren’t needed? I moved back to save this farm from that fate but every time I drive past another field being paved over I wonder how long we can keep calling this “progress,” as people build on the very land that once use to fed us.
