Espírito Santo, Brazil 🇧🇷 ⁠ The Montanhas do Espírito Santo coffee growing region lies in the western highlands of the state of Espírito Santo. Coffee farms here are distinct from those in the rest of Brazil in several ways. The farms are typically small and family-owned, situated on steep mountain slopes—more akin to the production landscapes seen in other parts of South America. Coffees from Espírito Santo tend to have higher acidity and more distinct fresh fruit notes than many other Brazilian coffees. A good example is the washed Catuaí lot from José Romão, with a crisp character of peach iced tea.⁠ ⁠ Each of our sourcing trips has provided an opportunity to reconnect at the origin of our coffees and to gain a deeper understanding of the work that shapes each of the cups we serve.⁠ ⁠ Photos: @pawgissel

[전시연계 시음회] TOSEI x LA CABRA 커피 리추얼 클래스 《EARTH & BREW : A Sip of Denmark》 덴마크 흙에서, 한 모금의 순간까지 전시 기간 동안 롱페이 작가의 커피툴 등의 작품을 활용한 커피 리추얼 클래스를 운영합니다. 롱페이왕 작가는 La Cabra의 커피를 위한 도자기 잔을 디자인하며, 브랜드와 깊은 인연을 이어가고 있습니다. 이번 클래스는 그 인연을 바탕으로, 덴마크의 흙, 커피, 차, 그리고 디자인 철학을 오롯이 감각으로 마주하는 시간입니다. 작가는 덴마크의 야생 흙(wild clay)으로 차와 커피 도구를 빚으며, 절제된 미감과 실용성을 담아냅니다. 이번 클래스에서는 작가가 만든 도자기에 La Cabra 커피 2종을 리무소커피 바리스타와 함께 내리고, A.C. Please join us in celebrating the two-year anniversary of La Cabra and Another Aspect at our shop in Copenhagen. To mark the occasion, we’ll be serving a special menu, including a Cascara Vermouth cocktail made specially for the event as well as a selection of beer and wine in-store from 5 to 8 pm. ⁠ ⁠ What began with Another Aspect designing uniforms for La Cabra has grown into a shared retail space, and now, a lasting collaboration. ⁠ ⁠ As a thank you, every in-store purchase of garments includes a limited coffee release: a beautiful Colombian lot from the Chito Farmers. This is our fourth year working with the Sagastume family in Honduras. ⁠ We visited the Sagastumes in March 2023 and in April 2024, touring each of their pockets of land, and observing their work in processing, some of the most organised and professional we see each year in Santa Barbara. ⁠ We have tasted several lots in recent years and have been consistently impressed. This year’s selection is much expanded after our visit, and we look forward to continue our relationship. ⁠We hope you enjoy this year’s coffees from the Sagastume family.
