Inhabiting the Stable by architect David BARD (@david__bard) An apartment has been created within the rural section of a 1930s farmhouse in Praz-Pury. The project engages with the original typology of Fribourg farmhouses, where living spaces and farm functions coexisted under one roof. The former fourragère, once used for feeding livestock and storing hay, now houses the living areas, while bedrooms and the bathroom are placed in one of the old stables. The second stable continues to serve its original role for the owner’s horses, and the roof space remains dedicated to hay storage. New walls in exposed terracotta brick mark the intervention, differentiated in scale from the original masonry. Material choices such as trowelled screed floors and a kitchen built from formwork panels evoke the utilitarian character of farm architecture while maintaining a sense of continuity with the building’s history. Argento Liquido by @super.sedia A minimalist furniture collection by Austria-based designer Markus Töll. Drawing on his architectural education and metalworking heritage, Töll crafts skeletal steel forms that explore what he calls “rigorous proportionality”. Each piece reduces sitting to its essence: structure, comfort, presence. The collection contrasts hand-forged steel with soft off-white leather and faux fur, creating spatial objects that are both sculptural and restrained. These materials meet in silent tension - movement captured in stillness. Miaou at Espace Niemeyer, Paris For @miaou’s SS23 runway, light drifts into the role of a living presence within the scenography. Over time, the studio becomes an inventory, comparable to an archive of thought, process, and encounter. Through the open courtyards of Studio Mumbai, practice flows through shared knowledge, through making, and through testing. The space encourages encounters between people, disciplines, and ideas, allowing collaboration to emerge naturally from the process itself. Apparent from every perspective, the scale models and 1:1 mock-ups are undeniably characteristic of the practice. Central to the process, they often replace the need for a drawing.
