Here’s a bunch of photos of my friend @sybrandklompstra, his wife @jessica_klompstra and their beautiful family… When Sybrand walked into @schorembarbier with his northern posse (they drove 6 hours every month) for the first time about 14 years ago, little did I know that I would cut his yet to be born son Siem’s long locks to donate… ♥️♥️ Everything we do and don’t today WILL change tomorrow and I love that now that I’m growing older I get to look back and see how important the small things, even the ones that might seem insignificant now, turn out to be when you see the bigger picture… Invest in yourself, it will always pay interest… PHOTOGRAPHY: @jelleinmyear

GODSPEED MIKY… It was a sad but beautiful day… We can’t thank everybody enough for giving “De Reus van Rotterdam” a goodbye that was worthy of his way too short but impressive life… It was my son’s first funeral and I told him: “If people cry hard but laugh even louder at your funeral you lived a life well spent…” And we did… We shared our memories and stories, we grieved, we laughed till we cried again and we warmed our hearts and souls to all the love for this giant of a man… Schorem will never be the same without you Miky but we promise to protect your legacy and make you as proud as you made us… “The value of a man’s life isn’t measured in the amount of years he lived but what he chose to with his time and you, my old friend, toughed, inspired and changed so many lives just by living yours” We love you man, save travels, see you soon… -SCHOREM-
