I’m getting asked questions about the new designs that I’ll be offering in larger sizing coming August 1st. I only have the two “girl” shoes to show… The boy shoe is still 💯 in prototype phase but I can show that after I’ve completed the design. To answer the main questions I continue to see: Sizing will be up to size 3 (big kid size). On these particular designs they will be the play perfect sole in black. The idea being these should be the perfect school shoe. As most of you know, the play perfect soles are barefoot designed with a raised “bumper” over the shoe for extending the life of the shoe against an active kiddo. We’re excited to introduce these to you and hope you love them as much as we do, so that they sell well 🤣 and we can continue to introduce larger sizing in other designs moving forward! ❤️

😮 That's right. Your favorite children's barefoot shoes are going... Bigger! Coming in our Back To School line up (as in a few months) - We will be extending our sizes. But wait. There's a catch! Before you get TOO excited... You should know. There will be THREE new designs that this will be offered in via the Play Perfect sole. This is a test. If it doesn't go well, we won't do it again 😆 So spread the word! I'd love to continue to move up in sizing across all designs, but won't if it doesn't make business sense... I mean, duh. Something strange has been happening lately—Little Love Bug is becoming a well-known name around here. People ask, 'Are you the shoe lady?' Well, yes... but I tend to hide behind the mask that is Little Love Bug. So, I figured it was the perfect time to (re)introduce myself with a little about me. This is what I've come to understand: Motherhood is a constant challenge. It’s harder than I ever imagined, and so is life itself. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that having a solid support system makes all the difference. Life’s always changing, I'm always learning. I'm learning to trust myself. I never imagined myself as a barefoot shoe designer or business owner, but here we are. What started with my two girls, wanting shoes that supported their natural foot development, turned into so much more. Along the way, I've met some incredible people, and I’m grateful for the chance to work with so many of them. I even met my partner through Little Love Bug—he’s South African, and has been by my side for 5 years. Through all the ups and downs in both life and business, he, along with my amazing employees and customers, have been there to support me through it all. For that I am so thankful. Entrepreneurship has definitely been stressful, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. With Little Love Bug, I’ve always said I’m not an expert at anything, but I know a little about a lot. Imposter syndrome has been a tough one to shake off, but after 8 years, I’m finally starting to accept that I do know a thing or two. Sometimes, the path you didn’t plan for turns out to be the best one. ❤️ Whether you’re just discovering Little Love Bug or have been with us for years—welcome to our barefoot shoe community.
