Something strange has been happening lately—Little Love Bug is becoming a well-known name around here. People ask, 'Are you the shoe lady?' Well, yes... but I tend to hide behind the mask that is Little Love Bug. So, I figured it was the perfect time to (re)introduce myself with a little about me. This is what I've come to understand: Motherhood is a constant challenge. It’s harder than I ever imagined, and so is life itself. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that having a solid support system makes all the difference. Life’s always changing, I'm always learning. I'm learning to trust myself. I never imagined myself as a barefoot shoe designer or business owner, but here we are. What started with my two girls, wanting shoes that supported their natural foot development, turned into so much more. Along the way, I've met some incredible people, and I’m grateful for the chance to work with so many of them. I even met my partner through Little Love Bug—he’s South African, and has been by my side for 5 years. Through all the ups and downs in both life and business, he, along with my amazing employees and customers, have been there to support me through it all. For that I am so thankful. Entrepreneurship has definitely been stressful, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. With Little Love Bug, I’ve always said I’m not an expert at anything, but I know a little about a lot. Imposter syndrome has been a tough one to shake off, but after 8 years, I’m finally starting to accept that I do know a thing or two.
