When Heidi first arrived at the farm, she was hurting—physically and emotionally. Her leg had died, infection was spreading, and she didn’t know yet that she was safe. But thanks to YOU, she received the life-saving surgery she needed and the time, care, and love to heal. Today, Heidi is a whole new sheep. She greets us with affection, walks with confidence, and reminds us daily why this work matters. She was one of the very first animals we ever fundraised for—and because of your support, she now thrives. Her journey also opened our eyes to a calling we can’t ignore: helping animals with mobility challenges. It’s become a beautiful and unexpected focus in our rescue and rehab work, and we’re excited to keep saying “yes” to more animals just like Heidi. Thank you for giving her this second chance. Just a girl, and her Dino bird #farmlife

I wanted to introduce you all to MY BESTIE*, Briana! I got the honor of meeting Bri in person last April, at a Cowgirl Conference in Oklahoma. We instantly hit it off and became good buddies, at the end of the weekend, Bri told me that her one wish was to own a cow from my farm. I held on to those words. Fast forward several months, I kept in touch with Bri and her mom Lou Ann. When my calves started hitting the ground last fall, I was determined to find Bri her perfect baby. The moment Janet gave birth to this little belted bull calf, I knew he was made for Briana. A few days later, we FaceTimed and surprised Bri with her new buddy, whom she affectionately named “Blake.” It’s been a long time coming, waiting for him to be weaned, but Blake finally made his way to Indiana to live with his new family and new mom! Briana and Lou Ann run programs for individuals with special abilities, that connects them to agriculture and farm life, as well as implementing 4H programs for said individuals. Blake will be an advocate for their programs and has already touched the lives of so many in the short time he’s been there! This is something we, too, are very passionate about here at KBF and KBFF! This entire experience has inspired us so much, and we feel honored to be able to donate a calf like Blake, to a special girl like Bri! Giving back is a huge part of our mission here, to both humans and animals ❤️

Our last few hours with Old Man George❤️ He is at peace and so are we, we know it was exactly the right time, and we cherished the last moments we got to spend with him. Honestly, and intentionally. One last bath and bandage change, to look his best for Jesus. One last meal, of all his favorites. We prayed over him while worship music played in the background and the sun kissed his sweet old body one last time❤️ George was a good boy, that hated almost everyone except for Kristian and me. He was skin and bones when we took him in, severe hip dysplasia, he dragged his back right leg behind him due to an injury, and he was approximately 9 years old. Everyone told us to put him down, but he just had this undying will to live. You could see it in his eyes and feel it when he looked at you. He had never been loved, always been tossed aside, nothing more than a pasture protector left to fend for himself. He just needed someone to see value in him. Luckily, we did, and we were truly the lucky ones. We figured he might be around for 2 months, but he ended up giving us 2 years and 2 months of love and protection. If there’s one thing you should know about George, it’s that he loved Kristian with his whole heart, and she loved him the same. He was the constant through so many of our traumatic cases and losses, and steady sense of comfort in times of deep sadness. He was not one that loved affection, but he would tolerate it for Kristian’s sake. I always thought that was so special. I truly believe he lived as long as he did because of her, and for her. George left us peacefully Wednesday afternoon 4/9/25 at 12:30pm, he was showered with love and we sang to him on his way out. He didn’t fight it, it was time and he was ready. We are all at peace ❤️ Please pray for our grieving hearts, as we mourn such a massive loss. We have decided to restock the O.M.G. Shirts on our website in honor of George, 10% of all proceeds will go directly to our non profit to help more special souls just like OMG ❤️ Thank you all for loving him and for supporting us in all we do.
