I wanted to introduce you all to MY BESTIE*, Briana! I got the honor of meeting Bri in person last April, at a Cowgirl Conference in Oklahoma. We instantly hit it off and became good buddies, at the end of the weekend, Bri told me that her one wish was to own a cow from my farm. I held on to those words. Fast forward several months, I kept in touch with Bri and her mom Lou Ann. When my calves started hitting the ground last fall, I was determined to find Bri her perfect baby. The moment Janet gave birth to this little belted bull calf, I knew he was made for Briana. A few days later, we FaceTimed and surprised Bri with her new buddy, whom she affectionately named “Blake.” It’s been a long time coming, waiting for him to be weaned, but Blake finally made his way to Indiana to live with his new family and new mom! Briana and Lou Ann run programs for individuals with special abilities, that connects them to agriculture and farm life, as well as implementing 4H programs for said individuals. Blake will be an advocate for their programs and has already touched the lives of so many in the short time he’s been there! This is something we, too, are very passionate about here at KBF and KBFF! This entire experience has inspired us so much, and we feel honored to be able to donate a calf like Blake, to a special girl like Bri! Giving back is a huge part of our mission here, to both humans and animals ❤️
