Bulletproof Glass Isn’t Just for Liquor Stores At least, that’s what we think. Over the past few years, we’ve been pushing our designer brains to transform both common and uncommon materials into furniture. Case in point: bulletproof glass — which, to be real, is really just thick acrylic. I’ve always loved the transparency of it, but I’m even more obsessed with the way it wears and tears after years of use in liquor stores. That weathered look has a story to tell. So, we decided to build a credenza for our home out of this material because I fell in love with the idea of making my favorite objects and plants (dead or alive) look like they’re floating. Our first prototype debuted when we launched the second installment of the Party Store collection. This is now our second time (and definitely not the last) designing and building with this material. We're already itching to see what else we can create with this pretty amazing stuff. What type of bulletproof furniture should we make next?
