This Eames Tandem Three Seater combines a vintage steel-and-aluminum base from the original Herman Miller system – complete with period labeling – with newly produced fiberglass shells by Modernica (@modernica). Designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the early 1960s, the Tandem series was originally developed for public terminals, reflecting the couple’s enduring commitment to modularity, material efficiency, and the architecture of shared space. The shells, produced in Los Angeles by Modernica as part of their Case Study Furniture line, are made using methods that honor the form and tactility of the originals.
