I can’t believe it’s been a year since I made this animation, I feel like when I initially drew it I spent so long, and now I look back and see so many more imperfections. It’s amazing what we learn with time as people. I was thinking of what it’s like growing up, growing older, and realizing how little I know even as I learn more. All of life becomes so much more nuanced, so many simple things become so complex, ideas you’re so certain of become vaguer, more elusive. You become so much more steadfast in the things you’re unsure of and that’s special, and being with people during that, friends, family, loved ones, even strangers who offer you kindness, grace, as you learn, grow and adapt… what a gift that is.
