So hear us out on this one: 58 MACVSOG operators sre still unaccounted for over the wire in Laos and Cambodia. -They volunteered to serve their country despite the public opinion on the Vietnam War. - On top of that they volunteered for working in a unit that didn't exist and offered a 100% casualty rate with high probability of death - Were faced with insurmountable odds and the worst of situations, yet still perservered. -Caused significant interruption on the Ho Chi Minh trail and gathered invaluable intelligence, all in effort to give the Marine Corps and Army a leg up in the Vietnam theater. 58 of these legends fell. Bright Light missions ran to recover, but due to it being an "Unofficial war" over the wire, recoveries were not always successful. So, the war comes to an end. These boys can't say shit for 20 years. When they are finally able to speak on it we are already wat behind the recovery curve. MACVSOG operators know where these fellas fell. They remember grid coordinates, AO's, and essential details. With all of that, nothing happens. Red tape and politics stand in the way of doing the right thing. Folks in certain government agencies that can make things happen just stroke their egos and do the easy work to justify their agencies existence.
