Earlier this week our owner, TJ Semanchin, had the honor of speaking in Washington, D.C. alongside fellow small business owners and Senators Schumer, Klobuchar and Smith, about the devastating impact tariffs are having on main street businesses. We’re deeply grateful to @mainstreetalliance_ , @senschumer, Senator Klobuchar and @senatortinasmith for their continued advocacy and for giving us the chance to share our story. We’re proud to advocate for our communities, producer partners, and customers in support of the proposed legislation which would exempt small businesses from the new tariffs. With around 35 million small businesses employing 59 million Americans, we represent nearly half of all private-sector jobs. In rural communities like our home Viroqua, Wisconsin, small businesses power over 54% of employment, contribute roughly 44% of U.S. GDP, and make up more than 97% of all U.S. exporters.
