It should be smooth and creamy, free from impurities, and at room temperature for whipping. Step 2: Whip the Tallow Using a stand mixer or hand beater, whip the tallow on medium-high speed until it lightens in color and turns fluffy—this usually takes 5–10 minutes. You’re looking for soft peaks, like whipped cream! Step 3: Add Your Oils Drizzle in your homegrown chamomile-infused oil (we love using infused extra virgin olive oil) and a few drops of Roman chamomile essential oil for that heavenly, calming scent. Start light—you can always add more! I use a 4:1 ratio here! Step 4: Whip Again Turn the mixer back on and whip everything together for another 3–5 minutes, until it’s fully blended and extra airy. The tallow should now have a smooth, buttery texture with a soft floral aroma. Step 5: Jar It Up Spoon your whipped tallow into clean, dry glass jars.
