🧡 July is IVDD Awareness Month – Day 7 One of the questions I get asked most is… “Why does Alfie wear boots?” Because Alfie has paralysis, he doesn’t always know exactly where his back feet are. This means his paws can drag along the ground without him realising, causing cuts, scrapes and worn nails. His boots act like a layer of protection, helping to keep his paws safe while he explores the world in his wheelchair. Before every walk I make sure they’re fitted properly, and afterwards I always check his paws for any signs of rubbing or injury. It’s a small part of our routine, but it makes a big difference.
