Two medal day for Sophie Shaft at the Junior World Championships! 🥈🥉🇺🇸 Sophie competed in her third Junior Worlds and fourth World Championship today at 64 kg, lifting 97/126/223. She attempted 100 kg twice in the snatch but had the final attempt overturned, then went for 129 kg twice in the C&J but pressed out the first attempt and missed the second jerk. Her makes earned her fourth in the snatch, second in the C&J, and third in the total. The 126 kg C&J opener was a 1 kg improvement on her own American record that was set on the 2025 Rogue Strength Stage at The Arnold, and her total from today was two kilos under her personal record and three kilos away from the USAW senior “A” standard.
