We often treat rest, joy, and simple pleasures as something we have to earn—as if we need to check enough boxes or hold everything together first. But what if rest isn’t the prize at the end of the day… what if it’s the fuel that carries us through it? What if God actually designed us to rest?  As homeschool moms, we pour out constantly. Teaching, guiding, cooking, cleaning, comforting. But we’re not meant to run on empty. When we care for our hearts—through quiet moments, slow sips of coffee, sunshine on our faces—we’re not stepping away from our calling... we’re investing in it. This kind of living is part of the lesson. It models margin. It teaches peace. It says to our children: “You matter. I matter.
