Whether you homeschool year-round or take a break during the summer, the end of a school year can bring up a lot of different emotions. There are reasons to celebrate, reasons to reflect, and reasons to take a break. Since we usually homeschool school year-round, for many years we were able to transition to the next school year naturally. Other times, by the end I felt we needed to re-evaluate and make a lot of changes for the upcoming year. While I am not afraid to make curriculum switches or change up or rhythms mid-year, taking time off between curriculum or school years is helpful to get a clear mind and start again with purpose and intention.
