The oversized silhouette is a nod to the British Drape, a relaxed yet sophisticated suiting style introduced in the late 1920s in keeping with the theme of this year’s Costume Institute exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style and the evening’s dress code, Tailored For You.
