New Makers 2025 · In Conversation Our New Makers programme is now in its seventh year. The successful artists receive a platform to sell their handmade goods, with full profits being returned to them, along with expert guidance on growing their emerging businesses. To celebrate London Craft Week, New Maker Lærke Møller Hansen is demonstrating her technique on the wheel at our London Shoreditch shop Friday 16 May, 12pm-5pm and Saturday 17 May, 1pm-6pm. Working from a former blacksmith’s workshop near Odense, Denmark, Lærke has been working in ceramics for over ten years. Inspired by the simplicity of Japanese ceramics, she develops her own glazes using locally-sourced materials like sand and wood ash. She crafts serene, functional tableware guided by organic forms. Ahead of the event, we caught up with Lærke and our New Makers 2025 guest judge, the renowned ceramicist Florian Gadsby. Florian, along with a TOAST panel, selected the winners of this year’s programme. Learn more about New Makers 2025 via our link in bio.
