On July 22, 2022, @dawayangzum made history by becoming the first Nepali woman to summit the 8,051 meter (26,401 ft) Broad Peak in Pakistan’s Karakoram range. This ascent marked an important milestone in her journey towards becoming the first Nepali woman to summit all fourteen 8,000 meter peaks—a feat she accomplished in 2024. And she did it with grace and style, leading all of the members of her international team to the summit.
