Change the needle. This step is so often skipped and it may very likely be the cause of your skipped stitches and other issues you may be facing. Here’s what I do when I am having trouble. 1. Change the needle first. Did you know technically you should change your needle after every 6-8 hours of sewing… 2. Re-thread your machine. Yup, take all the thread out and start over! It really helps!! 3. Check the bobbin. Rethread that as well. 4. Clean your machine, maybe you have some dust bunnies living in there. 5. When is that last time you oiled your machine?! ( if your machine takes oil, this is important to know) I had a lady tell me that in 25 years she’s never changed a needle.
