✨STACKING A 3-TIERED CAKE✨ • This is the way I do it, and this video includes the parts that don’t get talked about! (Save for later) • 👉🏼The bottom tier is the foundation of the cake and has to be COLD 🤌🏼❄️ 👉🏼The bottom tier has bubble tea straws inserted for support. They are cut to the height of the tier. 👉🏼The holes left from straws are covered with buttercream (optional) 👉🏼 A parchment round is placed on top of the straws before the next tier is stacked. The cardboard the upper tiers sit on has some fine dust particulate and I don’t like it directly touching the buttercream of the tier below. 👉🏼Upper tiers should be VERY cold if you are picking them up the way I am in the video 👉🏼Pass a central dowel through the entire cake and hammer it into the baseboard. This helps keep the tiers in line and secured to the baseboard. If the central dowel does not pass into the baseboard then it doesn’t really serve a purpose.
