Same tile. Different price. Here's why. The size, shape and pattern of your tiles can seriously change your installation cost, even if the tile itself is identical. Here's the breakdown: 📐 Herringbone vs stacked: herringbone costs around double to install 📐 Small format vs 600x600mm: the bigger tile is usually cheaper 📐 600x600mm vs 600x1200mm: the larger format jumps back up in price Why? It comes down to time and tooling. Herringbone is slow, detailed work. Oversized tiles need more strength and bigger equipment to handle safely, both add labour cost. The sweet spot for budget? 600x600mm or 300x600mm tiles. Cheapest to install, and still look great.
