One of my many favorite parts of wig wearing: you don’t have to wash “your hair” as often as if it was growing out of your scalp 🤗😆 Aaaaaaand you don’t have to throw your entire body in the shower to make it happen 🤣 In fact, you can even send it off for someone to wash and style it without you being present! Lol Wig wearing is different for everyone and each piece will also wear differently. The general rule of thumb is that you should wash your wig when it starts to feel “sticky”, weighed down, or tangles easily. There are several different factors that play into how often to wash: 1. How many hours you’re wearing it each day 2. Your environment (if you’re outside, sweating, wearing styling products, makeup, pollutants in the air, sunscreen, humidity, etc.). 3. The texture of the wig itself. I personally have experienced that my blonde hair will require washing more often than my brunette pieces.
