Happy Mother’s Day 🥹❤️ I would do it all over again…. + For every sleepless night + For the way your body melts into mine after being rocked to sleep + For your newborn smell and milk breath + For the way your face lights up when I enter the room every time + For the strength I never knew I was capable of as I roared you out of my body and held you for the first time + For every new milestone you made over and over again + For endless giggles and “what’s that?” + For the look of question in your eyes until I encouraged you to be brave and took your first steps + For the endless messes that remind me how blessed I am + For the “art” made on every wall + For the light in your eyes when you find you can do something new + For the hole you healed in my heart that I didn’t even know was there + For the greatest JOY I’ve ever felt + For the constant noises that fill our home + For your unconditional love and Grace when I make mistakes learning to be your “Mom” It has been an honor to be a Mother since the young age of 20 and even though it has come with challenges and has felt lonely at times, it was the best decision I could have ever made. And while we live in a world that constantly devalues the role of Women and Motherhood, I will tell you this….NOTHING is more fulfilling than stepping into your Divine Feminine role as a Mother. And while I know many of you have wished to become a Mother and for whatever reason it hasn’t happened yet do to infertility issues or otherwise, please know I see you and my heart is with you. As a woman who has lost three babies, I know the depth of sorrow that comes with that grief, but you can find peace and joy again after loss. If there’s one thing I wish I would have done differently, it would be to ask for help more when I was in the trenches and to give help when I wasn’t. Motherhood takes a village and we can and should all help one another more, without judgment. We’re all just doing our best. ❤️ I love you Sophie, Emmett, Leif, Liam, Alfie, Ollie, our Angel baby Eden and our two other heaven babies (until we meet again 🫶🏻) Sending all the moms and futures mamas love today and everyday.
