A magical Autumn evening @ballerinafarm ✨🍂🐄🍅🧀 Thank you Hannah and Daniel for your continued passion to create meaningful experiences that encompass reconnecting with the our local land/farmers, nourishing our bodies with REAL food and creating personal connections with people all over the world. What we experienced when we got to the farm: + Amazing local ingredient appetizers and pre-dinner mocktails (the mini focaccias topped with hard mozzarella and a beautifully sautéed chanterelle mushroom had my heart….I ate three…the staff said I could 😂) + Visited the cute pregnant Brown Swiss Cows that are in their third trimester and about to calve) + Met Hannah’s beloved sheep she milks for her feta and other sheep cheeses, new chickens and barely weaned calves (who mooed cutely when we were gathered outside) + Got to hear about Hannah and Daniel’s vision for the Farm Stand and their mission to cultivate the land for organically grown veggies that they will be selling at the stand and in box subscriptions run by an amazing local farmer named Madison. He’s a gem. Can’t wait for their actual restaurant to open on their land, someday. + Toured the veggie houses and heard about their minimal approach to gardening and how it works even in 7,000+ elevation and below freezing temps. It’s fascinating. + Ate in the beautiful barn under lights and was served beautiful farm-to-table meals from Tom (a talented Irish chef who flew in special just for the event). + The roasted figs with prosciutto fat and thyme (sounds weird but was incredible) and the perfectly cooked Porterhouse Steak with Chile Verde sauce was so flavorful and my favorites. Tanner was obsessed with the roasted butternut squash as well. Overall, a beautiful night for Tanner and I to spend together enjoying yummy food and chatting with people we adore. Love this new Farm-to-Table Dinner Tradition on @ballerinafarm here in Utah. Hope to go again, soon!! ❤️
