Because you’re worth it 😘 As a mom who had six kids in 10 years, prioritizing my health hasn’t always been on the agenda. Especially, when I was so exhausted breastfeeding for pretty much six years straight. Little did I know then, but the carbs I was craving weren’t helping my body with energy and we’re screwing up my hormones, too. I did an elimination diet last year and upped my protein to 100g+ of protein a day and my body naturally dropped 40lbs. When we give our bodies what it wants, it responds in kind. Most of these meals were gluten, dairy and refined sugar free, if you need some ideas. 😉 Eating protein gives our bodies the amino acids they need to build strong muscles and in turn, shed unwanted fat. When I eat 100g+ of GOOD animal protein every day, I can tell a different in my mood, my motivation, and my hormone balance. It’s not until I have a bad week that I realize how important prioritizing protein really is. 🙃 Here’s some forms of protein that I suggest getting throughout the week whenever possible: + Grass-fed beef + Organic poultry + Wild caught Fish or other seafood + Eggs (I source mine from a local farm that doesn’t feed their chickens with soy or corn since I’m allergic) + Raw milk and cheese + High quality whey protein powders (I love @flavcity) + Organic nut butters + Higher protein grains: quinoa, Einkorn, Kamut, etc. Any other tips you have for prioritizing protein?
