Since Day 1 at Sol Soils we’ve been a peat-free company. There’s no reason to mine unique, sensitive ecosystems like peat bogs or release stored carbon into the atmosphere when we have great, upcycled alternatives like coconut husks that are grown for other industries like food and beauty either way. The shells of these coconuts are otherwise mostly discarded. We also plant a tree for every bag (we’re talking units, not just the total order).
