Motherhood. The most exhausting, stretching, grounding, heart-filling thing I’ve ever known. The days are loud and messy and chaotic — shoes everywhere, babies to feed, places to be — and somehow in the middle of all of it, I know I’ll miss this season someday. I think about the women who shaped me into the mother I am. The women who loved me first, carried me, taught me, and showed me what strength and softness can look like at the same time. So much of who I am as a mother comes from these women who loved me first. And today I’m also thinking of the women who long to be mothers, the women grieving, the women mothering in quiet unseen ways, the stepmoms, grandmas, aunties, sisters, friends, and nurturers. Motherhood takes many forms, and every kind of love deserves to be celebrated. Right now I’m deep in the trenches of motherhood with five little ones and a heart somehow fuller than I knew possible. Tired beyond words. Grateful beyond words too. Three weeks ago we welcomed our sweet Noa Roo into the world, and I still can’t quite find the words for what she’s brought into our lives. There’s nothing easy about motherhood. But I wouldn’t trade these days for the world. 🫶🤟, Kylee ROO
