We started in Tucson at the Arizona Inn, where days move at the pace of bougainvillea climbing sun-warmed walls, and evenings gather themselves around live jazz in the library — cocktail in hand, watching the sky fade like it has nowhere else to be. Then Scottsdale, all clean lines and open space, where the landscape does most of the work for you.
