After trying and failing to find an antique tub that fit our dimensions, I found a beautiful two-sided tub that felt vintage but came with all the bells and whistles of a new product.⁠ ⁠ I wanted the bathroom to both feel modern and like it had always been there. With a tub, toilet, and console sink that felt original, I had some room to play with the other materials: I always loved the 1920s antique ceramic tile in the bathroom of my Los Angeles apartment, and found beautiful red and white cement squares that were a nod to vintage tile but had a contemporary texture. The floor is a variegated penny brown tile and we installed 1930s-esque floral wallpaper. ⁠ ⁠ The final touch was the Sun Shower curtain. I needed two, since the shower rod goes all the way around. Quiet Town's Sun Shower curtain doesn’t block the window and allows beautiful light into the shower. It’s also a great way of showing off the tile. The peach matches the wallpaper and trim - I went monochrome since we have so much color in the room already. I love how beautifully the modern and kind of edgy material plays with the otherwise-twee bathroom."
