Our pièce de résistance focused on the idea of “a cape with the volume of a gown.” We liked the reference of an oversized flight bomber to help create movement and shape you rarely get to see with menswear. We played with ruching and soft padding for a dramatic shoulder. And no one understood the use of movement for flair better than André Leon Talley, the prototype of the modern dandy.
