You asked and we delivered: announcing our Advanced Kintsugi Apprentice Program. Serving as the sequel to our original Kintsugi Apprentice Program, this one-month program dives deeper into sophisticated techniques, various applications of urushi lacquer, and the creative world of Kyoto. In addition to our POJ Studio Kintsugi Instructors, participants will learn directly from a Kintsugi Master and Specialist: Issey Hattori (@isseyhattori) is a celebrated master of Maki-e, and Yuuka Kurosu (@kurosuyuuka)is a practiced Kintsugi Specialist, both based here in Kyoto. They will share their expertise and guide apprentices through a rich library of techniques. Participants will also gain access to Kyoto artisans, crafts people, and places of significance through a considered series of new field trips. Applications are now open, link in bio.
