We visited the workshop of @doubledoublefurniture, the artisan behind our ebony wooden cutlery. Each handle, tine, and serrated edge is completely carved by hand. The identical look and feel of the utensils — as well as their level of precision — can only come from an artisan whose craft has been honed to the level of instinct. The ebony wood lends a sophisticated appearance, and the density of the wood offers a nice heft to each piece. The wood is also gentle on glazed ceramics, preventing scratches to the finish of dishware.
