Deeply inspired by architecture, ceramicist Wataru Myoshu crafted this collection in his 85 year-old, refurbished kominka (a traditional Japanese house). The shapes and material finishes of this timeworn structure often filter down into his pieces.  Each vase in the collection is a true one-of-a-kind, as the unglazed surfaces result in variation in texture and color that can’t be duplicated. The decision to only use natural soils, and no glazes, throughout all of his work, is style defining.
