Subway Series, the major New York rivalry that takes over the city. The 7 train fills with blue and orange, while the 4 and D trains are packed with navy and white. From borough to borough, New Yorkers choose sides for up to seven games, yet stay united in their love for the city and the game. Our Subway Series collection highlights this rivalry. Officially licensed by the MTA, the “Take the Train to the Game” t-shirts and hoodie celebrate the fastest way to get to the stadium. We also partnered again with Atlanta-based illustrator FRKO on original artwork for “The Battle of New York” t-shirts, capturing the energy across the city during the series. For headwear, we reinterpreted the Bronx and Queens division emblems and introduced the MTA NYC Token Polo Hat. The collection also includes a wooden baseball bat keychain and two officially licensed MTA subway signs for each stadium stop. Shot in Queens and the Bronx on location, the campaign features the Valerio family who are lifelong New Yorkers with roots spanning from generational DSNY workers, screenprinters, deli owners, professors, vinyl collectors, and DJs. They embody the true New York spirit that makes the Subway Series special. The Subway Series Collection releases on Thursday, 5/01 @ 12PM EST online only.
