SHEPARD FAIREY: MODULAR FREQUENCY⁠ Opening Reception: 02/28/2026 @ 6-10PM⁠ ⁠ The artworks featured in Modular Frequency are my most recent explorations of distillation and synthesis, combining imagery, symbols, and text woven into geometric compositions. I’m confronted with an overwhelming number of images and messages daily, forcing me to make sense of things and organize my ideas. I embrace this chaotic process of distillation as inspiration⁠ to help me navigate the world and create art with intention in response. My visual language comprises of a multitude of images, symbols, text, and geometric elements composed in pursuit of an ideal rhythm and harmony. These works aspire to find a frequency that compels the viewer to tune in; tune in not simply to the aesthetics of the works, but also to their deeper messages and symbolism.⁠ ⁠ Modular Frequency showcases an array of subjects, including many of my political and artistic heroes as well as archetypes of peace, justice, and environmental responsibility. Beyond the eighteen brand-new Modular Frequency mixed-media works, the exhibition also includes paintings on canvas, unique works on paper, retired stencils, prints on wood, mono-engravings,⁠ and HPMs (Hand-Painted Multiples).
