Sometimes you have ideas in the back of your head… and you just have to do them! I discovered Kantha quilts by happenstance, on Etsy browsing for vintage shoe inspiration, as I was a shoe designer! I became obsessed with Kantha quilts, and had them all over my home, bought them for friends, and I always thought- one day I want to make clothing with these quilts. In 2020 I did it, and now I get to spend every day surrounded by gorgeous colours and textures. It started as a way to connect with my cultural heritage, and now it’s grown into a bigger dream- to spread happiness and empowerment through clothing to our artisans- you the wearer, and our team in the US, and anyone that comes into contact and connection with Namai.
