American lawns full of green grass are the farthest thing from green. Non native grasses have shallow roots, require lots of water, rely on fertilizers, increase flooding and wildfire risk, and promote herbicide application. Meadowscaping with native grasses and wildflowers improves water infiltration and retention, soil health, drought resistance, and protects against floods, drought, and wildfires. The habitats and flowers will also support pollinators populations of bees, butterflies, moths, and more! #grass #lawn #meadow #meadowscaping #landscaping #garden #flower #pollinators #wildflower #native #flood #fire #bees #pesticide
